The weather gods smiled on us and LOC was able to have an outdoor rehearsal on a beautiful evening in Freehold! We got to sing together, meet new members, and spend time with friends we haven't seen in a while. A glorious night!

2020-2021 has been a very difficult year, but we at LOC are proud to present these awards and send our great thanks and congratulations to: Laura Partynski who received the DIrector's Award from Katie Blackwood for all her incredible efforts this past year; to Jan Rubino, our LOC Sweet Adeline of the Year for all her efforts as Vice President on behalf of LOC; and to our Unsung Heroine, Carol Meaney, for all her great work as our Membership Chair. They are all invaluable members to this chorus and we could not have made it through this year without them! The awards were presented at the Board Installation Ceremony on May 6.
Liberty Oak enjoyed a fun night together on May 6, when we installed our new officers and board members. The installation was led by our in-house "Wonder Woman Team"! We also sang together (virtually) and applauded several of our members as they received awards. It was a great event!
LOC welcomes two more wonderful members, Karen Kumpf and Gwen Tunderman, to our ranks! Gwen is a dual member with Harmony Celebration and Karen sings with Jersey Harmony, Harmony Celebration, and Sirens of Gotham choruses.
We are excited to welcome Lucienne Byrne as our newest dual member with Liberty Oak Chorus and Harmony Celebration Chorus! We can't wait to make music with you, Lucienne!
A big welcome to Janet Cebula and Peggy Bastone who are officially dual members of Liberty Oak Chorus and Harmony Celebration Chorus! We are thrilled to have you join us on our journey!
Liberty Oak Chorus is so happy and proud to share the video of our virtual chorus performing Bridge Over Troubled Water. We offer this video as a "love letter" to our family and friends, who are so important to us. Enjoy!
We are thrilled to welcome three new members to our chorus. Enrica Mercorelli, a lead, Julie Enriques, a bass, and baritone, Casey Antonucci. Julie is a dual member with LOC and Harmony Celebration Chorus. We can't wait to be back on the risers singing with them. Congratulations to these three lovely ladies!
Liberty Oak recently enjoyed joint rehearsals via Zoom with other Sweet Adeline Choruses. We had a Valentine-themed rehearsal with Evergreen Chorus from Poughkeepsie, NY, where we shared our favorite chorus performance videos of great love songs! We also spent some time with Harmony Celebration Chorus from Ridgewood, NJ, singing and performing some songs we both have in our repertoires! In both cases we shared some fun in smaller groups, trying to come up with strange things in common or learning about how we stay engaged with our fellow singers. Thank you to our friends for participating with us in these exciting nights!
