Linda Bennett (Lead) has been a Sweet Adeline since 1989, took a multi-year hiatus, and rejoined “the fold” in 2007 to quartet. She found Liberty Oak Chorus in 2008, and is thrilled to be singing Lead with Synergy. She keeps them well dressed and “in stitches” most of the time. As a proud member of Liberty Oak Chorus, Linda serves as Lead Co-section Leader, the Costume Committee Chair, and is the current President. When not busy with this hobby, Linda enjoys spending time with husband, Lee, and daughter Carianne.
Carolyn Burroughs (Bass) has been a Sweet Adeline since 1994, and has previously sung with several choruses and competitive quartets in Regions 19 and 15 over the years. In 2009 she joined Liberty Oak, where she has since enjoyed the privilege of serving on the Music Team as the Bass Section Leader, and on the Board of Directors. Music has been woven into the fabric of Carolyn’s life since childhood, and includes piano as well as enriching experiences with school, community, and church choral ensembles. Having previously served in the U.S. Army and federal law enforcement, she is now retired and savoring a much different chapter of life as a single mom whose son just graduated from Rowan University. She's happily working through her bucket list of a million and one things to experience & explore. With all her newly acquired free time, she has a bucket list with a million and one things to experience and explore.
Arlene Gunther (Tenor) Although she has been singing nearly all of her life, Arlene has only been a Sweet Adeline since 2000 when she joined Liberty Oak Chorus. Having served on many committees within Liberty Oak including the Music team, the Visual team, Front Row and the Administrative board she is currently content to be Molly Member. Her musical background includes High School, College and Community chorus as well as being the girl singer in a traveling band. She also worked three seasons of summer stock and performed in an off Broadway Review called “Pins and Needles”. Show Business was put on hold after she met and married the love of her life, Buddy. Together they have three grown and married children and six grandchildren. Arlene is retired from her other career in the finance department of the Township of Brick. This is Arlene’s second competing quartet and she is thrilled to be singing with the talented ladies of Synergy.
Victoria Shernicoff (Baritone) has been a Sweet Adeline since 2002. Liberty Oak Chorus has been her “one and only,” and she is proud to be a part of the music leadership serving as Baritone Section Leader. Victoria can’t remember a time when music was not an integral part of her life; participating in chorus, band and dance classes from elementary school through high school, earning a Bachelor of Arts in music at college, and working at a classical record company in the music industry in NYC for many years. When not singing, Victoria now works as an Assistant Project Manager at Princeton University. She is grateful that her biggest fans, husband Michael and sons Harrison and Matthew, are so supportive of this extremely time consuming “hobby.”.
